Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 37, Service Contracting and award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Social Security Administration, Region IV, intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for preventive and remedial maintenance of the parallel redundant 338 KVA static type Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System complete with associated batteries, water cooled load bank and peripherals. The contractor must provide all necessary maintenance labor, documentation, repair parts, maintenance supplies, tools, testing equipment, transportation and other related services to maintain the equipment in excellent operating condition. Maintenance shall be performed at the Social Security Administration (SSA), Southeastern Program Service Center (SEPSC), Birmingham, AL, in according with the statement of work and drawings. NAICS code: 238210. The size standard is $13 million. This requirement is a total small business set-aside. Quotations received from other than small business concerns will not be considered. The Request for Quotations (SSA-RFQ-06-1543) will be posted at http://www.fedbizops.gov on or about 7/17/06 with quotations due no later than 8/11/06. Paper copies of the RFQ will not be available. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be issued, with a performance period of 10/01/06 ? 9/30/07, with a one (1) year option. Anticipated award date will be on or about 8/25/06.
