- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotations No. AG-02NV-S-06-0050. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation 2005-09. CLI #1: One (1) Each track-mounted skid steer tractor, comparable to brand GEHL Model CTL80 or equal, with the following options: enclosed cab, A/C & Heat, Power Quick Attach System, High Flow Hydraulics. Salient skid steer characteristics are necessary to meet the needs of the masticating head attachment. These are a horsepower of 97 hp (72) @ 2200 rpm, high flow hydraulics to operate the head, the hydraulic PSI of 2988--the high flow hydraulics must supply 39 gallons per minute; and a rubber tacks so the machine will be gentler on the ground. CLIN #2 ? One (1) Each masticating head, comparable to the FECON Bull Hop (model BH85SS or BH74SS). Salient characteristics are: the unit must be able to shred brush/scrub growth, branches, 12? stumps, out-of-the-ground root balls, logs, 8-inch diameter standing trees and brush piles; must be able to shred material completely to grade level and disturb the surface up to 2 inch deep; must shred material toward the ground. A unit that cuts or slashes parallel to the ground and throws material sideways or units that ?cut up? rather than shred the material will not be considered for offer of award. Unit must be capable of producing a finely shredded, mulch-size material. The majority of material shredded by the head must be 4 inches or less. Masticating head must be hydraulic driven and mountable to quick couple systems on the industry standard skid steer loader. Date of Delivery: On or before July 28, 2006. Delivery and Acceptance location: Westside Ranger District, 4350 Cliffs Drive, Pocatello, Idaho 83204. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Evaluation of quotes will be based on price, past performance, and equipment capability to meet the above qualifications. Clause 52.212-4 ? Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation.
