Description
SUBJECT: CAHN VERSATHEM HS DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number DE-RQ26-06NT00612 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following items are to be purchased by the U.S. Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA. Award will be made to the low priced, technically acceptable (equal) offeror. The following items are to be purchased: Equality shall be determined by the offered equipment???s compliance with the following performance requirements. Compliance will be determined by the offeror???s provision of literature showing performance capabilities or through written narrative discussing the points not covered by the published literature. 1. CAHN VERSATHEM HS WITH MASS FLOW CONTROLLERS FOR CORROSIVE ENVIRONMENTS (OR EQUAL). VERSATHERM HS TGA WITH SAMPLE COLUME OF 35 ML, 1100 DEGREES C FURNACE WITH A TYPE ???K??? THERMOCOUPLE, FORCED AIR COOLING AND A 38MM DIAMETER QUARTZ REACTOR TUPE AND BAFFLE. THERMO CAHN D-200 BALANCE WITH 1.5G CAPACITY, +/-150MG WEIGHTING WINDOW, 1.0UG READABIALITY AND CAPABLE OF VACUUM TO 5 X 10-5 TORR MASS FLOW CONTROLLERS ALLOW SWITCHING, MIXING, CONTROL OF FLOW RATES OF TWO GASES THROUGH THE DATA ACQUASITION SOFTWARE TOGETHER WITH OPENING AND CLOSING OF IN-LINE FLOW VALVES. 10/240 VAC 50/60 HZ. THE INCLUDED SOFTWARE WILL ALLOW PROGRAMMING OF HEATING/COOLING AND ISOTHERM SEGMENTS. CONTINUOUS REAL-TIME DATA ACQUISITION ALLOWS FOREGROUND DISPLAY OF RUN INFORMATION OR ANALYSIS OF PREVIOUSLY COLLECTED DATA. DATA ANALYSIS PROVIDES FUNCTIONS FOR DERIVATIVES, DATA SMOOTHING, WEIGHT PERCENT, ADDITION, SUBTRACTION, NORMALIZATION OF DATA, SCALING, EXPANSION, CONVERSION OF DATA FOR EXPORT TO STANDARD SPREADSHEETS, AND ANNOTATION OF COLOR GRAPHICAL PLOTS. 2. ONE DAY TRAINING WITH APPLICATION SPECIALIST ??? 1 EACH. 3. ADDITIONAL SET OF 1-YEAR CONSUMABLES INCLUDING: 2-HANGDOWN ASSEMBLIES, 4- 12MM QUARTZ BUCKETS, 1- 9MM PT BUCKET, 1- REACTOR TUBE, 1- UPPER BAFFLE, 1- LOWER BAFFLE, 1- SST FORCEPTS, 1- SET OF THERMOCOUPLE FERRULES, 4- REACTOR TUBE O-RINGS, 10 1/8??? PT-RH TYPE K-THERMOCOUPLE, 1- 2M PT-RH EXTENSTION WIRE, 2- PRE-MADE PT-RH EXTENSION WIRES. EVALUATION: The award will be made to the low priced, technically acceptable offer. An award shall be made to the responsible offeror submitting a technically acceptable quote and offering the lowest evaluated price. Evaluation is base on best value including cost and ability to meet stated requirements above. Offerors shall submit descriptive literature detailing features, technical capabilities and warranty data. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted response to this provision as it compares to the minimum characteristics provided above. Therefore, it is essential that offerors provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. Compliance will be determined by the offeror???s provision of literature showing performance capabilities or through written narrative discussing the points not covered by the published literature. INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL SUBMIT OFFERS WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), and remit to address if different. The award shall be made using FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification (NAIC) is 334611. All bids, proposals, or quotations must be faxed to Mr. Robert L.
