Description
Amendment No. 1: To Change the response date from June 28, 2006 to July 17, 2006 ************************************************************* SNJV is seeking support services to provide limited technical and professional services at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) and other locations for the Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Safety Administration/Nevada Site Office (NNSA/NSO). Work typically will be of short duration for very limited numbers of personnel with task orders being issued as needed. Responses to task orders will typically require rapid response. Tasks may require experience on the NTS with similar types of work. The contract award will be for a Base Period to start on October 1, 2006, through September 30, 2007, and one-one year option period, October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008. Offerors will be evaluated on their technical capabilities in the areas below. The estimated Direct Productive Labor Hours (DPLH) over the life of this contract is estimated to be less than 8,000 hours per year. Specific types of personnel will be requested in task orders. Personnel supporting this effort will typically be: Engineers, Geologists and other scientists. Experience levels required to support tasks are expected to range from 2 years of experience to more than 20-years depending on the types of tasks which must be supported. Work to be supported will range from preliminary site characterization (similar to phase 1 and phase 2 site investigations), through the development and presentation of Data Quality Objectives (DQO?s), to work plan development and implementation. Tasks may include field work supporting characterization and preparation of field reports. Under special circumstances SNJV may seek specialized services such as: Groundwater Modeling support; Identification and logging of borehole samples; Interpretation of boring logs; Interpretation of geophysical data (magnetics, resistivity, ground penetrating radar, and similar data). SNJV may also require limited amounts of support in the development and management of procedures and the performance and tracking of audits and assessments.
