Description
The date for submission of qualification packages is extebded to July 20, 2006.................................................. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is seeking to prequalify firms for services for a series of site and conventional building construction projects at the New U.S. Embassy Compound (NEC) site in Khartoum, Sudan. The project includes construction of the following facilities and structures: Item #1: Construction of a single story 357 SM Compound Service/Entry Building (Service CAC); Item #2: Construction of a two story 629 SM residential building (MSGQ); Item #3: Construction of approximately 310 LM of the enclosing site perimeter wall; and Item #4: Limited site and utility construction. Total project Estimated construction cost: $5 to $10 million. A contract for the design and construction of portions of the New U.S. Embassy Compound site in Khartoum was awarded in September 2006. This contract is a separate award for construction of the items listed above which will be construction on the site on which the previously awarded Design-build construction activities are underway. The project work area is limited and access will be restricted. The site will be divided and specific areas and limits of construction identified. The construction contract is expected to be awarded on or about September 15, 2006. Actual construction is not expected to begin until issuance of a Notice to Proceed in November 2006. The performance period is anticipated to be 17 months from notice to proceed.... SEE ATTACHED
