Description

The U.S. Department of State has created a retirement package of recognition gifts for retiring employees from the Department. This retirement package of recognition gifts would be for approximately 600 employees consisting of departing Civil Service and Foreign Service employees annually. The retirement package consists of a crystal block sculpture, sculpture base, packaging for sculpture, engraving on the sculpture, U.S. Flag display case, U.S. Flag and certificate holder. The prospective vendor will be required to work with the Office of Retirement and shall manage delivery of the retirement package. The prospective vendor must acquire, warehouse, assemble, personalize and deliver the retirement package, including the boxed engraved sculpture, flag, flag case, flag certificate and the leatherette bound retirement certificate. Therefore, it is anticipated this procurement will be conducted in two phases. For the first phase the vendor will be required to submit their sample crystal block sculpture of the expanding universe and their technical proposal. The vendors that are most likely to be selected for award will then submit their cost proposal for phase two of this procurement. It is anticipated award will be made to the vendor that provides the best value to the government which will be based on the factors specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be posted here in FEDBIZOPPS for interested vendors on or about July 20, 2006. No telephone calls please. Please note this requirement is reserved as a small business set aside.
