Description
The New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) is searching for sources that can provide the following for the Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Clinical Research Coordinating Center (CSPCRPCC): Purchase of an Atlas Copco Model ZT18? Oil Free Rotary lobe, two stage, air cooled compressor with an integrated IMD? heated compression air desiccant dryer and Silvan? 240 Gallon Receiver Tank. The Atlas Copco Model ZT18? must meet the following specifications to accommodate the needs of the VACSP manufacturing requirements as providing totally oil free air and corrosion free air that meets or exceeds the standards required for pharmaceutical manufacturing. It is imperative that VACSP meets those standards and can guarantee that the products they manufacture and process have the safety, identity, strength, quality and purity to be in accordance with cGMP (21CFR part 211.65). The VA Cooperative Studies Program (VACSP) has ever increasing demands for manufacturing capsule and tablet drug forms and the film coating of tablet forms. Additional equipment units have been added to the tablet/capsule bottle filling line. Many of the equipment units use compressed air for their operation. In some instances, the compressed air comes into direct contact with drug product (referred to as critical contact points) and in all instances the compressed air becomes part of the ambient room air. The compressed air must meet pharmaceutical grade air standards and be free of moisture, oil, and particulates. The footprint of the new system must not exceed 20 square feet. The entire system (other than the receiver tank) must be enclosed in a single cabinet for maximized compactness, ease of cleaning and maintenance, and quiet operation. The system must provide totally oil and moisture free pharmaceutical quality compressed air. Delivered CFM should be no less than 90 and sound level no more than 75dB(A). Operation noise level must be quiet enough for installation in a work area (i.e. not enclosed in a separate room due to noise level). The system must be energy efficient using full load/no load operation and provide limited loss of initial compressor pressure throughout the system. The desiccant dryer system should use the heat generated by the compressor for operation as no additional energy will be required and will allow 100% of air flow through the unit. The manufacturer should be ISO certified. The requested system must meet all the VACSP requirements for a new system. Totally oil free and moisture free compressed air is an absolute requirement because of the VACSP drug manufacturing and processing operations. Our research has found no other such system of such a compact size in a single enclosed system that incorporates a desiccant dryer utilizing the heated air from the compressor for its energy source. Energy use reduction is an ever increasing concern of the government and this system is very energy efficient. Space has become a critical factor due to increasing needs and the requested system is one third the size of the current system. The system must be delivered no later then August 31, 2006. Warranty on parts and labor must be five (5) years. This sources sought does not constitute an order of any kind nor does it guarantee that an order will be generated in the near future. At this time there is no RFP (solicitation). This notice is simply to assist us in conducting market research. If you have any questions please contact Cesar T Fausto by e-mail or fax. If your company is able to offer this type of product, then please either fax your request or e-mail it fax number 505-248-3206 email: Cesar.Fausto@csp.research.med.va.gov. Just let us know that you are an interested party. No additional information is required. We will contact you should we take any action on this requirement in the future. Any interested parities must reply prior to July 10, 2006 at 1400 Mountain Time.
