- Description
- The 96th Contracting Squadron intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a requirement for a contractor operated parts store (COPARS) at Eglin AFB, Florida. The NAICS code is 561990. The Small Business Size Standard is $6.5 million. The Contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to provide motor vehicle and miscellaneous equipment parts and tires to maintain a government fleet of approximately 1400 vehicles. The vehicles range in diversity from sedans to heavy construction vehicles. The anticipated contract performance period will be 01 October 2006 through 30 September 2007, with four one-year options, if exercised. This acquisition will be solicited as 100 percent set aside for small businesses. The proposed solicitation number is FA2823-06-R-0017. The entire solicitation will be made available on or about 19 July 2006, via the Federal Business Opportunities web page at www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any amendments. All Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractors Registry (CCR) per FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration. Offerors must also complete Offeror Representations and Certifications on-line at www.bpn.gov prior to submitting an offer. Submit all questions electronically, NO VERBAL REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, or the Program manager previously identified.
