- Description
- This procurement is set aside for Small Business Concerns Only. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to issue a firm fixed price contract. The contract will cover the drydock repairs of NOAA Ship NANCY FOSTER. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the following (including, but not limited to): Base Items - General Requirements, Drydocking and Rudder Repair and Modifications. The performance period is 10 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of August 7, 2006. Anticipated award date is July 19, 2006. No site visits are anticipated for this procurement. If necessary, a site visit may be coordinated with the Port Engineer, Mr. Jamie Lecompte at 843-297-3426. The NANCY FOSTER is 186 feet. ? 6 in. long and its home pier is in Charleston, South Carolina. It is the NOAA?s intent to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The NAICS code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The simplified acquisition will be issued on or about July 11, 2006 as a best value Request for Quote (RFQ) with award based on price. Quotes will be due on or about July 18, 2006. The RFQ will be issued via electronic posting at Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FEDBIZOPS for the release of the RFQ, specification, drawings and all subsequent amendments. The specification will be uploaded via www.eps.gov with the RFQ.
