Description

In accordance with FAR subpart 13.106(b) (1), the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Microscal in London, UK in the amount of $75,604.00 for a FMC-4012 Mark 4Vxi 4012 High Sensitivity Liquid Phase Full Model (p) flow adsorption microcalorimeter (FMC). CDC believes that Microscal is the only organization that can meet the requirements of the order because the flow adsorption microcalorimeter is unlike any other instrument in that it is a flow instrument, which permits the study of adsorption-desorption processes that occur on the surfaces of different materials. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Documentation should be received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis to be considered by CDC. A determination by CDC not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the government.
