Description

The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the lessor Cambridge Development Group for minor renovations for a GSA Leased Building. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 and the Business Size Standard is $31.0. The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to install (6) ADA compliant door assemblies, water purifier piping for (5) RO water units, Garbage disposals in two rooms, to renovate an office, and build a kitchenette. The FDA office building is located at 4300 River Road, College Park, MD 20770. This renovation for the GSA Leased Building is in accordance with Special Aspects of Contracting for Lease Alteration, Leasing GSA contract no. GS-11B-01538. The Lessor has the first right of refusal of any alteration of leased buildings. These justifications and approval requirements are in accordance with FAR subparts 6.3 and GDAR 506.3. The Government may negotiate directly with the Lessor for any minor alteration project. Acceptance shall be performed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at the address listed above. The work shall be performed in accordance with the Davis Bacon Wage Determination, General Decision Number MD20030057. Offers are due either in person or by fax on July 21, 2006, by 1200 EST, at FDA 5630 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20857.
