Description

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to procure a wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrophotometer for the non-destructive testing of inorganic materials for usage at the CBP facility in San Juan, PR. Some of the minimum requirements are as follows: Spectrometer shall be able to run solids, liquids, and powders without the usage of cooling water or compressed air; Spectrometer shall be able to run analysis from Beryllium to Uranium; and Spectrometer shall have a X-Y sample changer with a minimum of 60 positions. This information as well as all other necessary information will be included in a Statement Of Work (SOW) that will be disseminated during a Request For Proposal (RFP). The resultant order will be a one-time buy for the complete system and its installation and implementation. RFP will be issued on or about 21 July 2006.
