- The following questions and answers to the SIR are provided: 1. What is the correct outside diameter of the Anchor Clamp? Answer: The correct diameter of a GS leg is 3". 2. Should the ladder design meet OSHA or ANSI requirements? Answer: Both 3. Would tabular safety rail be OK? Answer: No 4. What does "kits" mean? Answer: Complete kits consist of one CLIN 0001, four CLIN 0002, two CLIN 0003, five CLIN 0004, three CLIN 0005 and three CLIN 0006. 5. Do you want the fall protection systems to be removable? Answer: Yes 6. Are the ladders already pre-existing on the towers? Answer: Existing towers have ladders that will be replaced by kits procured in this solicitation. 7. How many ladders and lengths need to be protected? Answer: Refer to Section B.1, e.g. CLIN 0007 8. The drawings specify a "Ladder Safety Rail". Does the system need to be a rail or will a cable system be acceptable? Answer: A cable system is not acceptable. Refer to Section C.3.3.b. 9. Will the work be done in the Washington, DC area? Answer: This solicitation does not include installation. Kits will be shipped to airports throughout the United States for installation by FAA personnel.
