Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, New Orleans District, is seeking all sources who can provide transportation, facilities, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision, and labor required to inspect, pretest, test, troubleshoot, and service recharging cylinders, the Dredge Wheelers and launch Wheelers firefighting systems and equipment. The contractor shall be a Kidde authorized service company with a minimum of three years experience in the inspection, testing, and servicing of marine firefighting s ystems and equipment. Information about the Dredge Wheeler - - a sea-going large vessel class hopper dredge, 408 feet in length, 10,614 gross tons. Services shall be provided wherever the Wheeler is located. The vessels home port is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District Wharf. The successful contractor must have a shop located within 100 radius miles of the New Orleans District, capable of performing all required repairs to the firefighting system components. The Wheeler also performs dredging assignments throughout the Gulf Coast area. The following information is requested: 1. State if you are an authorized Kidde service company. 2. Are you a small business? The period for demonstrating interest for the proposed acquisition closes at 1:00 P.M. on June 8, 2006. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561621 and the small business size standard is $11.5. The requirement wi ll be procured on a firm fixed price basis.
