Description

On or about 25 July 2006, this office will issue Invitation for Bids for construction of the Maintenance Group Headquarters Facility at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. The solicitation will close on or about 24 Aug 2006. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED AND OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. Due to limited accommodations in the area as a result of the Sturgis Rally in early August, no established site visit date will be given. Project Description: Construct a 29,900 SF Maintenance Headquarters Facility to accommodate the 28th Maintenance Group at Ellsworth AFB. Facility includes interior rooms as private office areas, shared open office spaces, squadron rooms, break rooms, conference rooms, storage areas, lobbies, vestibules, bathrooms, mechanical and electrical rooms, and com munications hub. Exterior work includes demolition, grading, parking lots, drives, walkways, retaining walls, electrical lighting, electrical and communications underground duct bank, gas, water, sewer, and landscaping. Building materials include slab on g rade construction with cast-in-place concrete footings and foundation walls, interior steel columns, CMU w/brick veneer exterior walls, clerestory, SSMR, windows, window shades, doors, carpets, porcelain tile, sheet vinyl, ceramic tile, vinyl wall covering s, acoustical ceiling tile, gyp board, paint, HVAC systems, EMCS, fire suppression system, plumbing, electrical power distribution, lighting fixtures, and communications equipment. Project will also include systems furniture, furniture, and appliances (mi crowaves and refrigerators). The estimated construction cost of this project is between $7,500,000 and $10,000,000. Obtaining Solicitation Documents: This office will no longer send copies via paper or CDS of amendments and solicitations to interested parties. Solicitation documents will be posted on Federal Technical Data Solutions or FedTeDS. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safe guard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeDs, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provided to access FedTeDS in note 2 below. The process to download from FedTeDS is: 1. Find solicitation announcement in FedBizOpps at: www.fbo.gov 2. Once you open the solicitation announcement on FedBizOpps, there will be a link provided to the solicitation on FedTeDS. Click on the link. 3. Representations and certificati ons are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete.
