Description

By way of this announcement, the USACE-Chicago District, issues this Pre-solicitation Notice for its Little Calumet River, Combined Sewer Overflow (Hammond Sanitary District) Projects in Hammond and Munster, Indiana. The Contractor will be responsibl e for providing all necessary equipment, labor, material and supplies required for the construction of approximately 4,700 Linear Feet (LF) of open cut sewer; 300 LF of jacked sewer; 1200 LF of horizontal directionally drilled sewer; 9500 square yards of s treet reconstruction; three special cast-in-place structures; one inverted siphon river crossing; one steel casting railroad crossing; and existing utility reconstruction. The estimated cost for construction is between $1 Million and $5 Million. The applic able North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 237990, with a business size in dollars of $31.0 Million. THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROCUREMENT WILL BE ADVERTISED AS UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. The Government int ends to award a FIRM-FIXED-PRICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT from this procurement. The Invitation For Bids (IFB) Package will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The IFB will be in a Portable Document File (PDF) and will be downloadable from the following I nternet Site: https://www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912P6-06-B-0002. The estimated date by which the IFB will be available is 1 August 2006, with an estimated due date for bids of 7 September 2006 at 2:00 p. m. Central Standard Time.
