Description

Solicitation Number N00421-06-T-0189 is hereby released as a request for quotes for ?Brand Name Mandatory? HP/DELL commercial products. Simplified procedures as described in FAR 13.5 will be utilized for acquisition of the required items. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order for Commercial Items on a ?Brand Name Mandatory? basis for the Hewlett Packard/Dell products listed below under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is set-aside for Small Business. The Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) St. Inigoes, MD, has been tasked to provide a customized version of the Marine Corps Distance Learning Program (MCDLP) Deployable Learning Resource Center (DLRC) for the Naval Sea Warrior IT Program Management Office. The DLRC will be used to support Naval Expeditionary Forces and OCONUS Sea Warrior product deployment. The DLRC System will consist of one DLRC server and additional peripheral components, including laptops that will be connected either to the DLRC server or to any network plug on a common network segment. The system components of the SWITPMO DLRC must be identical to components previously procured for the MCDLP system as the operability and integration of the components have been previously tested for use as an integrated stand-alone network. The Hewlett Packard server and the Dell laptops are the only products that will meet the DLRC requirements.
