Description
This amendment to the REQUEST FOR INFORMATION N00024-06-R-6350 is to change and clarify the following: 1) The Government?s intent for soliciting information from industry regarding the availability of mature systems for mounted (motor vehicle mounted) Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (CREW) mission is to determine market availability and potential sources of supply in the marketplace. Therefore, pre-determined requirements do not exist. One intended outcome of the Government?s seeking information from industry and available products will be the determination of requirements. Thus, no requirements are available now nor will any be available in the short term until the end of an initial Test and Evaluation cycle. 2) This is a Request for INFORMATION. 3) Delete the sentence ?If responding to both immediate and near-term provide a separate and separatable response for each system.? 4) Classified information should be sent to the following address: beardjs@navsea.navy.smil.mil. This address is for classified information only. All other responses and information should be sent to the address set forth in the original RFI. 5) The minimum definition of ?portable? for the purposes of this RFI is that they can be mounted into and removed from motor vehicles in the field. 6) Delete requirements for information concerning ?programmable CREW test devices that will indicate that the operating condition of these CREW systems?, ?Programmable Test Device?, and ?cost estimate for?two (2) Programmable Test Device?. Requests for information concerning this capability will be handled separately. 7) The Government has no specific information on a ?standard? vehicle type. Consequently, size, dimension (HxWxD), weight, volume, form and fit, available vehicle power, antenna mounting area and restrictions are not available. 8) No pre-determine number of threats to which the system must respond are established at this time. Hard requirements do not exist. There is additional value in the ability to respond to as many threats as possible, over as wide of a range as possible. These requirements, when finalized, will be classified. 9) The CTP is a control protocol that enables collocated active and reactive CREW systems to operate concurrently. 10) Electronic submission of responses is acceptable. 11) There are no known subcontracting possibilities or list of Prime Contractors for this RFI. 12) The due date for the responses for the RFI is changed to 10 AM Eastern [Day-light savings] Time on 11 JULY 06.
