Description
The entire description of the original notice issued is hereby deleted in its entirety and substituted with the following in lieu thereof: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, Atlanta, GA, requires a contractor to develop a computer web-based application of the Acute Concussion Evaluation (ACE) and its corresponding pediatric version (PACE). The web-based system will allow data entry by clinical staff and patients or family members for the collection, analysis and tracking of data related to mild traumatic brain injury. The contractor will also be responsible for pilot testing the system and developing supporting documentation in the form of a users? manual that includes instructions for installation, system administration, user support and training, and application. The purpose of this project is to develop a web-based application of an existing standard MTBI clinical assessment tool. The web-based tool will be used by health professionals to collect and report relevant information for identifying MTBIs and related symptoms and help guide decisions regarding appropriate management. The Government will supply ACE and PACE to the successful contractor. The developer of the ACE and PACE is Gerard Gioia, PhD, Director, Pediatric Neuropsychology Program, Children's National Medical Center, 14801 Physician's Lane, Suite 173, Rockville, Maryland 20850, (301) 738-8930, ggioia@cnmc.org. The entire scope of this work, requirements and evaluation factors will be addressed in the solicitation when issued. A single award will be made from this solicitation. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less then $100,000. This procurement is being issued as a small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this action is being changed to 541511 with a size standard of $21 million. Request for Quotation (RFQ) 2006-Q-08753JB will be issued on or after July 24, 2006, and quotes will be due by August 10, 2006. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
