Description

The Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about August 21, 2006 with proposals due on or about October 30, 2006. SDDC intends to award a negotiated four-year, fixed-price, ind efinite quantity contract for Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS) for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Blount Island Command, Jacksonville, FL. S&RTS will include, (but not limited to) receiving, staging, cargo preparation, onward movem ent (rail/truck/ship/convey) intra-terminal transfer, loading, and billing. The Offeror will arrange for and provide S&RTS, including all material and equipment, except those materials specified as Government Furnished in accordance with the Performance W ork Statement in the RFP. NAICS Code 488320 and Federal Supply Code (FSC) V114 will apply. Questions should be submitted via email to Deonna Murrell (murrelld@sddc.army.mil). This requirement will be solicited on a full and open basis. All responsible sources may submit an offer. Sources interested in this procurement shall provide a response via email to the Government Point of Contact identified below. Responses shall include: Company name, point of contact, title, telephone number, fax number and e mail address. The Government POC for this action is Deonna Murrell, murrelld@sddc.army.mil or by FAX 703-428-3381. Information containing the pre-proposal conference will be contained in the Solicitation, which will be issued by electronic copy only. Th ere is no commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract as a result of this notice.
