Description

U.S Army Communication-Electronic Life Cycle Management Command (CE LCMC) intends to procure this requirement from M/A-COM Inc. (MA/COM), located in Lowell, Massachusetts 01853 on a sole source basis. The Government has a need to procure two (2) cri tical spare parts used in the AN/TPQ-37 FIREFINDER radar design: 1) Interconnecting Box, Qty 50, NSN 5975-01-072-4464 and 2) Microwave Circuit Card Assembly, Qty 50, NSN 5840-01-072-0042. The total value of this requirement is $3.6 million. Although limi ted drawings are available, they do not contain adequate nor sufficient data to be used in the manufacture, testing, and final acceptance of these items by any other source at this time. M/A-COM is the only source capable of meeting the Governments requir ements. Due to lack of technical data, M/A-COM is currently the Only Approved source for these items to support the various on going operations. The Government does not possess the technical data completely defining the form, fit, function, and test requ irements of the equipment being procured which shall be considered by the agency.
