Description
GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION SPONSORS PRIVATE SECTOR REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY CONFERENCE U.S. GOVERNMENT is sponsoring an Industry Conference for all Real Estate Colleagues in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge Market areas to introduce the Advanced Acquisition Program. EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST REGISTRATION PERIOD OPEN 7/10/2006 ? 7/21/2006 CONFERENCE SUBJECT: The Advanced Acquisition Program (AAP) is a monthly opportunity for offering building space for lease to the Federal Government. GSA has streamlined the lease acquisition process in the Greater Southwest Regions markets through utilization of this program. You are invited to participate in a General Services Administration (GSA) sponsored industry conference to introduce the Advanced Acquisition Program (AAP). The conference is scheduled for Tuesday, July 25, 2006 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana. The purpose of the conference is to introduce the Advanced Acquisition Program and solicit input from real estate firms interested in offering space to the government through this automated offering system. AAP is a standardized multiple award platform that will be utilized in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge markets for award of future GSA lease acquisition space needs. GSA has explored the markets within the Region 7 boundaries as well as special emergency management program needs where the AAP program would provide the streamlined acquisition process needed. The New Orleans and Baton Rouge markets have been identified as two of the markets where GSA will implement the AAP and it is the government's intent to utilize the AAP program for all lease contract awards that fit within the program's parameters. Topics to be discussed at the conference are, 1) History of the Advanced Acquisition Program, 2) How will the program work, and 3) What advantage does it provide the Private Sector. We are interested in your ideas and experience in leasing to the government and input on how this program can best be utilized in the San Antonio market areas. Please keep in mind that we are trying to be responsive to what your industry?s needs are in deciding how to best streamline the lease acquisition process and encourage competition. Our goal is to get the best people in the industry, at the best price, to work with us. You don?t have to prepare anything for this meeting; just bring your ideas and experience. Please do not bring marketing materials or any written proposals. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Pesina, Program Manager, at (817) 978- 3577 or you may register for the conference by sending an email to Mary Pesina at mary.pesina@gsa.gov.
