- Description
- The work consists of site construction survey, staking, demolition of miscellaneous existing features and underground utilities, earthwork for roads, parking areas and buildings, placement of Ag Base and Hot Asphalt Concrete, roadway drainage, traffic signs, pavement marking, concrete wheel stops, bollards, entrance apron, site utilities including LPG gas electrical, telephone, water and sewage disposal, cast-in-place concrete, and one 10-person barracks building. Building may either be site built or modular construction, conventional wood or steel structure. Site built buildings may be placed on a slab on grade with footings or a raised floor with concrete footings and stem walls. The project is located at the Havilah Work Center, Kern River Ranger District, Sequoia National Forest. The estimated contract time is 360 calendar days. Estimated start work date is September 18, 2006. (Project site is normally accessible year-round but not guaranteed.) The price range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A pre-bid tour will be held at 1000 on August 24, 2006 at the existing Havilah Work Center on Bodfish Caliente Road. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site to assess the extent of the work. Issue date is approximately July 20, 2006 with a closing date of approximately September 8, 2006.
