This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Crane Division. Offerors are encouraged to access information also available on the NSWC Crane Division Web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm. The Naval Surface Warfare Center has a requirement for Waveguide Shielding Gaskets. The Waveguide Shielding Gaskets shall meet the following requirements: 1) Shielding Gasket, Electronic - Part Number 5204637-1 in accordance with Table I of NAVSEA Drawing Number 5204637, Rev D. Shielding gasket, electronic with copper strip. The shielding gasket is mechanical. The material and finish is rubber and silicone. The metal strip is continuous annealed copper per QQ-C-576, tin plated per MIL-T-10727, with 0.0002 inch minimum. The temperature range is air pressure sealing from -100? F. Dimensions are in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing Number 5204637, Rev D, Figure 1, Outline Drawing. For use on SPG-62 antenna to provide RF shielding and weather proofing of waveguide connections. Minimum Quantity 50 Each Maximum Quantity 840 Each. 2) Shielding Gasket, Electronic - Part Number 2911667-1 in accordance with Table I of NAVSEA Drawing Number 2911667, Rev F. Shielding gasket is electronic. The mechanical requirements are for the material (retainer) to be OFHC copper per QQ-C-576 annealed in a hydrogen atmosphere to rockwell F scale 77 ? 93. Seal should be silicone rubber per AMS-3303. Dimensions and tolerances are in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing Number 2911667, Rev F, Figure 1. For use on the SPG-62 antenna and MK-82 director to provide RF shielding and weather proofing of waveguide connections. Minimum Quantity 25 Each Maximum Quantity 300 Each. 3) Shielding Gasket, Electronic ? Part Number 291167-2 in accordance with Table I of NAVSEA Drawing Number 2911667, Rev F. Shielding gasket is electronic. The mechanical requirements are for the material (retainer) to be OFHC copper per QQ-C-576 annealed in a hydrogen atmosphere to rockwell F scale 77 ? 93. Seal should be silicone rubber per AMS-3303. Dimensions and tolerances are in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing Number 2911667, Rev F, Figure 1. For use on the SPG-62 antenna and MK-82 director to provide RF shielding and weather proofing of waveguide connections. Minimum Quantity 25 Each Maximum Quantity 700 Each. 4) Shielding Gasket, Electronic ? Part Number 2911667-4 in accordance with Table I of NAVSEA Drawing Number 2911667, Rev F. Shielding gasket is electronic. The mechanical requirements are for the material (retainer) to be OFHC copper per QQ-C-576 annealed in a hydrogen atmosphere to rockwell F scale 77 ? 93. Seal should be silicone rubber per AMS-3303. The finish is tin plate 0.0002 to 0.0004 inch thick per MIL-T-10727. Dimensions and tolerances are in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing Number 2911667, Rev F, Figure 1. For use on SPG-62 antenna and MK-82 director to provide RF shielding and weather proofing of waveguide connections. Minimum Quantity 25 Each Maximum Quantity 120 Each. This requirement is anticipated to result in a 5-Year IDIQ Contract, Delivery will be FOB Destination, NSWC Crane Division, Crane, Indiana 47522, as specified in the RFP. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination by NSWC Crane personnel. Solicitation N00164-06-R-8982 will be issued competitively. The solicitation will be available on or about 17 July 2006 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm. Estimated closing date is on or about 11 August 2006. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Offers must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation to be considered. Submitting a bid from the NECO web site by clicking on the ?Submit Bid? does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person in the correct format. It is the responsibility of offerors to download the RFP and to submit offers to the Point of Contact (POC) at NSWC Crane.
