- This notice is issued by the NASA/JSC to request information via the internet regarding Microgravity Services, and to solicit responses from interested parties. A draft statement of work is provided for information and planning purposes to allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well as promote competition. To view a copy of NASA/JSC?s draft statement of work and other supporting documents go to the following web page: http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/ms/ Interested parties are encouraged to recommend alternatives for providing Microgravity Services for NASA/JSC such as arrangements involving contractor operations of government owned property. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. Interested offerors/vendors having the required specialized capabilities to meet the requirements in the draft statement of work may submit a capability statement of 10 pages or less indicating their ability to perform all aspects of the effort described herein. If a company is not capable of performing 100 percent of the effort, NASA/JSC is interested in understanding what aspects of the statement of work they are not capable of executing. Interested parties are encouraged to submit written comments or questions to: Eric Schell or Alice Jean Pursell no later than August 10, 2006. When responding reference NASA/JSC's Microgravity Services Request For Information. Comments may be forwarded to Eric Schell or Alice Jean Pursell via electronic transmission or by facsimile transmission. This request for information is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, the solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/JSC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=73 . It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet cite for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments, if any.
