- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for the Repair of DGPS Receivers, NSN 5825-01-458-1241. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is Ashtech; P/N Z-12-R. These receivers directly support the GCF-W-1216 DGPS Broadcast site set used as a Reference Station for GPS Satellites and is the only receiver that meets the technical requirements for the USCG DGPS Systems. It is the Government?s intention to solicit and negotiate solely with GPS Equipment Outfitters or their authorized repair facilities, using Other Than Full and Open Competition Requirements. GPS Equipment Outfitters owns all proprietary documentation and are the only source for this equipment that has the required capabilities, documentation, embedded firmware, and systems to operate, maintain, and repair these receivers. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY!! This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP), therefore; no pricing information shall be submitted at this time. Interested sources that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate their expertise and capability to meet the following requirements: 1. Accomplish the repairs (i.e., component repair procedures for this specific equipment, test fixtures to operate, test, and repair); 2. Documentation of ability to provide embedded firmware; 3. Evidence as an authorized repair facility or documentation of satisfactory repair for the original equipment manufacturer. This information is due within 10 days from the date of this announcement and shall be submitted via e-mail or fax notice to Ms. Harwood at Florence.m.harwood@uscg.mil or Fax (410)762-6640. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited. It is the Coast Guard ELC?s intention to advertise a solicitation for requirements within 30 days of this Sources Sought notice.
