Description
The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA), intends to award, on a sole-source basis, a contract to support the ETA and Regional Federal Project Officers (FPOs) with information resource development and dissemination, evaluation, training and technical assistance to the Work Incentive Grant Program. The Work Incentive Grant Program is a priority initiative to assure universal access to people with disabilities entering the One-Stop workforce system. The incumbent contractor is: Law, Health Policy and Disability Center (LHPDC) at the University of Iowa College of Law. The activities of LHPDC, closely coordinated with the ETA Division of Disability and Workforce Programs, have been multidimensional with an understanding and sensitivity to the diversity of state needs, preferences for different approaches to learning, and the evaluation of best practice strategies to improve employment outcomes for job seekers with disabilities. The period of performance shall be twelve (12) months from the date of execution, and two 1-year options at the government?s discretion. Qualified sources that are interested are invited to submit a Statement of Capability (SOC), not to exceed ten (10) pages in length, within fifteen (15) days of this publication. The SOC should demonstrate the interested source?s experience working on projects with a targeted focus on research and knowledge utilization activities to improve understanding of the relationship between select state and federal policies upon the employment and economic status of Americans with disabilities. No solicitation document exists. Responses to this synopsis must be in writing. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
