Description
UPDATE 11 JULY 2006 Solicitation FA8601-06-T-0106 Queastions and Answers have now been posted as Amendment 01 to this solicitation. _________________________________________________________________ This is a combined Brand Name or Equal synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FA8601-06-T-0106 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-26, effective 19 May 2006 and Class Deviation 2005-o0001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 337214 with an associated size standard of 500. The Contracting Squadron, 88 CONS/PKBA, will make the following acquisition: The brand name or equal solicitation issue date is 21 Jun 06 and will close 7 Jul 06 at 3:00pm EST for all required Herman Miller Action Office Series 2 furniture and complete operational installation of panel-based systems furniture, completely installed and operational by 8 Sep 06. The systems furniture will be installed at: 88th Med Center 4881 Sugar Maple Drive Bldg 830 WPAFB OH, 45433 Specific requirements will include, but are not limited to the following: The contractor shall provide the required furniture (Exhibit A and attachment 2) and complete operational installation of 20 panel-based furniture systems for 10 rooms in the Medical Center on WPAFB. The diagrams (attachment 3) and specifications (attachment 2) were based on Herman Miller Action Office Series 2 system furniture. Quotes must be provided on the attached Exhibit A and must include all components for a fully operational workstation and must be from a single manufacturer to ensure interchangeability. Quotes must state the manufacturer, line of furniture, description, quantity of each item required for this contract, individual item pricing (attachment 2), and Exhibit A ? Bid Schedule with lump sum pricing. Pricing should be FOB Destination. The attachments to this document such as additional terms and conditions, specifications, and diagrams will be posted on the Fed Biz Opps website (http://www.fbo.gov). This RFQ can be downloaded and printed from the World Wide Web at the address above. Potential offerors can register for automatic updates, but it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the web site frequently for updates to the documents. Pursuant to the Brand Name or Equal clause (FAR 52.211-6); the offeror must provide descriptive literature of item being offered. ?Equal? will be evaluated based on proposed furniture equivalent to Herman Miller Action Office Series 2 line in color (attachment 2), size, strength, weight, sturdiness, and height adjustable configuration, at a minimum. If descriptive literature is not provided, the offeror will be determined to be nonresponsive. Facsimile or alternate proposals are not acceptable. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award for solicitations issued after 31 May 98. The Government will evaluate equally, as regards to time of delivery, offers that propose delivery within the applicable delivery period specified above. Offers that propose delivery that will not clearly fall within the applicable required delivery period specified above, will be considered nonresponsive and rejected. The Government reserves the right to award under either the required delivery schedule or the proposed delivery schedule, when an offeror offers an earlier delivery schedule than required above. Inquiries and information received after the established deadline shall not be considered for this particular acquisition. Price and other factors (i.e. delivery) considered, award will be made to the offeror which represents the best value to the Government. 5352.215-9001 NOTICE OF PRE-BID/PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE (MAY 1996) (a) A pre-bid/pre-proposal conference will be conducted at the Medical Center, Bldg 830 on 27 Jun 06 at 2:00pm for the purpose of answering questions regarding this solicitation. All participants are required to assemble in the Parking Lot of Hope Hotel and Conference Center, Building 823 on the side by Packy?s Sports Bar and Grill entrance at 1:45 pm. Before getting to the Guard Shack at Gate 12A make the right turn, which goes to the Hope Hotel and Conference Center. Please view the attached map of WPAFB gate locations for directions. (b) Submit the names of all attendees (not to exceed three per company) to Capt Darla Curnutte, Contract Specialist, Email: darla.curnutte@wpafb.af.mil before 23 Jun 06 at 3:00 pm EST. This information must be provided in advance in order to ensure access to the military base/conference site and adequate seating for the conference attendees. (c) Bidders/Offerors are requested to submit questions to the point of contact noted above not later than 29 Jun 06. Information provided at this conference shall not qualify the terms and conditions of the solicitation and specifications. Terms of the solicitation and specifications remain unchanged unless the solicitation is amended in writing. If an amendment is issued, normal procedures relating to the acknowledgment and receipt of solicitation amendments shall apply. (d) A record of the conference shall be made and furnished to all prospective bidders/offerors. The record should include minutes of the meeting, including questions (on a non-attribution basis) and answers.
