- Description
- The proposed contract is set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offers from other than HUBZone small business concerns will not be considered. This acquisition is to paint the hangar floors in Buildings 185 and 200 at Homestead Air Reserve Base. Work required under this contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Remove existing floor paint by wet shot blasting. 2. Perform necessary floor preparation and repairs. 3. Paint existing floors in accordance with UFGS 09-62-50.12 with a seamless, non-skid, water & oil proof, chemically & heavy traffic resistant, light gray Epoxy Quartz-based paint. 4. The presence of lead-based paint has been identified in Building 185. Contractor will be responsible for the proper handling of this hazardous waste in accordance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. 5. In order to be considered for award, the Contractor shall have completed three (3) or more jobs within the past two (2) years applying the specified materials to concrete surfaces in which the total area exceeds 20,000 square feet. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238320. The Small business size standard applicable to this acquisition is $13.0 million. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal must be registered and active with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additional information about CCR and ORCA can be accessed at http://www.ccr.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov/ respectively. The solicitation will be posted on or about 26 July 2006. The solicitation package will only be available through FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. A site visit for this acquisition will be held on or about 08 August 2006. Even tough it is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that contractors attend site visit. Offerors interested in attending site visit should submit written notification of intent to do so not later than 04 August 2006. Written notification should include company name, mailing address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. It is incumbent upon interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. No facsimile proposals will be accepted for this particular acquisition.
