Description
THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSISThe 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for the Remote Seismic Data Acquisition System consisting of the model TL remote Seismic Data Acquisition System ? battery powered (10 each) and model CL externally powered data receiver for TLs (1 each). Requested delivery for this requirement is approximately thirty (30) days after receipt of the purchase order. This is a Sole Source with SHI IAW FAR 6.302-1. SHI is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement as their equipment suite has become the recognized equipment and analysis standard for all International Monitoring System and United States Atomic Detection system locations. One cannot combine the data from diverse remote seismic data acquisition and monitoring systems if the systems do not follow a common data standard. Having equipment that transmits and receives information in a format compatible with the existing equipment is vital to maintain a workable data and error-checking standard using multiple suites of equipment. Being able to monitor equipment status, poll remote sensors and receive collected information using existing data standards is critical in reducing the amount of processing overhead encountered when having to deal with multiple data standards. As the International Monitoring System?s primary field seismic analysis equipment integrator, SHI is the sold US developer of software and hardware to collect, monitor and analyze field seismic data. In addition, SHI is the only contractor capable of integrating data produced by US and foreign sensors used as part of the International Monitoring System. No solicitation documents exist at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3829 with a business size of 500 employees and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334519. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCBB has determined that Science Horizons, Inc. is the only source capable of providing this requirement. Phone calls will not be accepted. Point of contact is Bonnie Pruett, Contract Specialist, 45 CONS/LGCBB, 1201 Edward H. White II, Street MS7200, Patrick AFB, FL 32925, bonnie.pruett@patrick.af.mil.
