- This notice is to announce a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District, New Orleans requirement for four (4) condensing units for install and servicing existing equipment for the Dredge Wheeler. The work to be performed under this contract will be on th e Dredge Wheeler to provide labor to perform all required removals, installations, testing, troubleshootings, repairs, and services. The Request for Quote is for a firm-fixed price service contract to be competed under solicitation W912P8-06-T-0108. A si te visit is highly recommended. The vessels home port is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District Wharf. This action is UNRESTRICTED under NAICS code 423740, size standard 100 employees. The RFQ and all information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportunities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is and will continue to be all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the fedbiz website for any amendments, updates, bidders, library, responses to questions and answers as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all potential bidders to download from the fedbiz website or request an electronic copy of the data by e-mailing Melissa.K.Koehn@mvn02.usace.army.mil or faxing request to 504-862-2892. No phone call request will be accepted. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or about 11 July 2006 with the due d ate 25 July 2006. NOTE: Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), which is required by Federal Regulations (See FAR 52.204-7004). Therefore you must be CCR registered to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD a ctivity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet.
