Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego CA is issuing this "Market Research - Sources Sought" synopsis. Industry comments will be accepted by email. The objective of this market research is to determine if there are existing commercial small businesses that are able to provide/fulfill the requirements of the Commander, Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), U.S. Naval Station, San Diego. If the market research establishes that the Government's need may be met by small business, the Contracting officer shall solicit and award a contract to small business. In the event that there is no small business that can provide the items required, the Government shall issue an unrestricted solicitation and will attempt to acquire the items needed from any large business and/or small business. Small business sources are being sought that can provide, on a rental basis, the following: power-mobilized man-lifts ranging from man-lifts with a 40 foot boom to man-lifts with a 90 foot boom; scissor lifts ranging from scissors lifts with 3ft x 6ft platform, 15ft height and lift capacity of 1,000 lbs to scissors lifts with 6ft x 12ft platform, 40ft height and lift capacity of 1,500 lbs. Items are to be provided on a daily, weekly, and monthly rental basis. Contractor will be required to deliver/pickup items to various military sites in the San Diego area. Delivery time shall be within 4 hours after an order is placed. In certain situations, Contractor will be required to provide items on an accelerated basis (delivery shall be within 2 hours after an order is placed). In addition to the above, Contractor will be required to refuel man-lifts/scissor lifts while they are in the field. Contractor must be able to provide multiple man-lifts or scissor lifts as required. This is not a request for a proposal nor does the Government intend to pay for any information provided by industry in response to this market research sources sought synopsis.
