- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Managed Healthcare Services for the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) located in Beaumont, Texas. Services to be provided will encompass all levels of medical care to the federal prisoners, including the on-site operation of medical facilities at the FCC and inpatient/outpatient facility and physician services. Community based facilities and providers must be within 100 driving miles of FCC Beaumont. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit pricing. The contract shall consist of a Base Period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the Base Period and all Option Periods are as follows: 2,080,500 estimated mandays. The solicitation will be made available on/or about August 14, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is on/or about October 20, 2006. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
