- THIS PROCUREMENT IS BEING ISSUED UNDER THE COMPETITIVE 8(a) PROCEDURES. COMPETITION WILL BE LIMITED TO ONLY THOSE 8(a) CONTRACTORS THAT ARE LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHIC AREA SERVICED BY THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ARKANSAS DISTRICT OFFICE, WI TH BONA FIDE PLACES OF BUSINESS IN ARKANSAS AND LOUISIANA, WHICH HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED THE NAICS CODE OF 237990 AMONG THOSE APPROVED FOR 8(a) PARTICIPATION ARE ELIGBLE TO BID. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and con structing approximately 3,500 linear feet of trenchfill revetment in the Red River in Hempstead and Miller Counties, Arkansas. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, sand-clay-gravel surfacing, clearing and grubbing, excav ation and grading, semicompacted fill, erosion control, graded stone C , bedding sand, reforestation, bedding stone, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,0 00,000.00. Bidders should check the FEDTEDS Web Page often for new soli citations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about 1 Aug 06. Bid opening date on or about 31 Aug 06.
