Description

NFSR #90, LBJ Job Corps Bridge Replacement. This project includes but is not limited to roadway excavation, temporary bridge removal and reinstallation, road reconditioning, soil erosion and sediment control, ditch cleaning, aggregate surfacing supply and placement, temporary traffic control and installation of a new bridge structure. The Federal Highway Administration Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects (FP-03) supplemented by special project specifications will be applicable to this requirement. The period of performance for this project is 120 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The project is located on the Wayah Ranger District located in Macon County, North Carolina. A pre-bid meeting will be held on August 10, 2006 at 10:00am sharp, local time at the project location. Directions to the pre-bid are to take 64 West out of Franklin, NC for approximately 7 miles. Turn right onto State Road 1310 to the project at the LBJ Job Corps Center. (Follow sign to Job Corp Center). Bridge to be replaced is the access to the Center. It is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED that all prospective bidders attend this meeting. All documents will be uploaded to this site on July 28, 2006. You may register below after which you will receive an email notifying you that the documents have been uploaded. BID DUE DATE: August 28, 2006 at 2:00 local time. This project is being advertised under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and IS NOT set-aside for small business participation only.
