Description

DESCRIPTION: This project consists of the restoration of three hurricane-damaged Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Log Shelters at Ratcliff, Boykin Springs and Double Lake Recreation Areas. The project includes, but is not limited to, the demolition and removal of existing components as necessary for the repair and reconstruction of existing damaged roof systems, log walls, foundations and structural log trusses and log columns. Some elements of the contract will require coordination with and approval by the Texas State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). One or more of the buildings may be solicited as an Optional Item, with award being dependent upon the availability of funding. GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $100,000 and $250,000. LOCATION: Angelina, Davy Crockett, and Sam Houston National Forests, National Forests & Grasslands in Texas. SITE VISIT: The date, time and location of a formal site visit, if scheduled, will be in the solicitation that will post to this site. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry and must have completed a profile in the Online-Representations and Certifications database prior to award of a contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Vendors must also be registered in ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications) prior to contract award, and may accomplish this on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration. SET-ASIDE: None. This project will be issued subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and will be available for FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. NAICS code is 236220. BONDING INFORMATION: Bid bond will be required (see solicitation for details); successful contractor will be required to furnish appropriate payment and performance bonds in accordance with FAR regulations prior to issuance of the Notice to Proceed. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-447U-S-06-0105LI and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request for Proposals and will be available for downloading on or about July 25, 2006 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor. The online Interested Vendors list will be the only such list maintained for this procurement.
