- Description
- The contractor shall provide supervision, labor, materials and tools to renovate approximately 15,000 square foot of existing facility for a new Radiology Department. Areas shall be built per engineering drawings and specifications developed by the AE. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to modernizing the following areas as shown in the AE drawings: CT suites, Intervention Suite, Ultrasound Suite, Radiology/ Fluoroscopy Suite, Digital Radiography, Patient changing areas with Lockers, Patient & Staff Washrooms, Patient Waiting and Cart holding Area, Reception Area, Medical Equipment Storage, X-Ray Reading Rooms, Offices for Radiology Department Personnel, ADPAC etc., Conference Multi-use and Break Rooms, Computer, Copier and Data Room, Dedicated HVAC system. Renovation includes selective demolition, construction of the new space, phasing, preparing the space for relocation of existing and new radiology equipment, new MEP systems with connection to the existing services, upgrading of architectural construction including flooring, walls, ceilings, utilities (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Fire Alarm System, Security System, Telephone & Data wiring system etc.) as shown in the AE drawings and specifications. Project phasing during construction will require operations of the Radiology Department to continue without interruption. This shall require development of several phases for construction. VA will test and remove all Asbestos containing materials. The Contractor shall complete project requirements within 688 calendar days following issuance of Notice to Proceed. Performance period includes time for abatement Contractor?s work, phased occupancy, and equipment set up by VA. This requirement is an 8(a) competitive set-aside, geographically restricted for firms serviced by the Small Business Administration (SBA), Illinois District Office. It is determined that competition will be limited to 8(a) firms serviced by the Illinois District Office. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The SBA, Chicago District Office shall provide the VA a list of all qualified Illinois firms, for participation in this procurement process.
