Description

U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan (Bldg 6000, Camp Lester, Okinawa, Japan 904-0103) intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Steris Corporation for the preventive maintanance and servicing of Steris washers, sterilizers and steam generators for Fiscal Year 2007 (October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007). The NAICS for this requirement is 811219 and the SIC is 7699. The contractor is responsbile for all transportation and lodging requirements and shall furnish all labor, parts, supplies and equipment necessary to provide full maintenance, emergency service, and periodic, preventive maintenance inspections for all equipment (3ea 24x36?h Vac Stg III Sterilizers, 1ea Reliance 3400 Washer/Sterilizer, 1ea 20x20?h Vac Stg II DD Sterilizer, 1ea 16x16?h Century Gravity Sterlizer, 1ea Reliance 444 Washer, 2ea 16x16?h Century Vac Sterlizers, 3ea CH10 Steam Generators). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 14 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the contractor?fs capability to provide and ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be e-mailed to the Contracting Officer at teruyaj@oki10.med.navy.mil. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan will proceed with the sole source procurement with Steris, Corp.
