Description

The U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan intends to negotiate a sole-source standing order with Gen-Probe, Inc. for the purchase of reagents and specimen collection kits. Requirements are to be delivered monthly beginning October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007 and include Pace Specimen Collection Kits (endocervical, P/N: 3300 and urethral or conjunctival P/N: 3275), Pace 2 Combination Assay (P/N: 3905), Detection Reagent Kit (P/N: 1791), Leader Printer Paper (P/N: 1847), Pace 2 Chlamydia Trachomatis (P/N: 1792), Pace 2 Neisseria Gonorrhoeae (P/N: 1793). NAICS for this requirement is 325413. The contractor shall be responsible for door-to-door delivery of all shipments directly to NH Okinawa (Japan) and providing tracking information for shipments. This acquisition will be processed under Commercial Item Procedures of FAR Part 12. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 17 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the contractor?s capability to provide and ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be e-mailed to the Contracting Officer. No telephone requests will be accepted. Email POC for a copy of the solicitation # N68470-06-T-1501. The solicitation will also be made available on the Navy Electronic Commerce online (NECO) at www.neco.navy.mil. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan will proceed with the sole source procurement with Gen-Probe, Inc.
