- The National Cancer Institute (NCI) plans to procure the brand name or equal Tecan Freedom EVO? 2008R MultiChannel Arm Package which consists of the following item numbers: 30017587, 30001710, 10760638, 30021562, 30010463, 30012329, 20725591, 30017951, 10615160, 30015506, 10760723, 10760724, 30011852, 10619070, 10613003, 30018350, 30011708, 30011821, 30011821, 30011885, 30001582, and 30001443. This acquisition will be conducted under the procedures for acquiring commercial items authorized in FAR Part 12 under the authority to use simplified procedures for commercial requirements as provided in FAR 13. This requirement is set aside for small businesses The North American Industry Classification System code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The following salient characteristics apply: a) Tecan Freedom EVO? 2008R MultiChannel Arm Package or equal shall consist of a robot, software and accessories necessary to automate the Infinium Whole-Genome assay, b) 200cm platform with 3 robotic arms allowing multiple independent manipulations of labware and pipetting of solutions including simultaneous 96-sample pipetting, c) shall perform the Infinium Genotyping assay, d) must be compatible with the hardware and software developed by Illumina for the Infinium II assay, e) must be capable of loading and automating the Illumina Gene-Paint flow-through chamber module, f) must be capable of integrating with and automating a MJR Peltier Thermal Cycler-200 DNA Engine, and be modifiable to direct air flow from the thermal cycler beneath the instrument. Offers of ?equal? products, including ?equal? products of the brand name manufacturer, must meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation; identify the item by (i) Brand name, if any; and (ii) Make or model number. In accordance with FAR 52.211-6 offerors must include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer; and clearly describe any modification the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modification.
