- Corrections were made to the original solicitation and are included herein: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The National American Industry Classification Code is 444190 with a Business Size Standard of $6million. This solicitation is issued as a total small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for a one time, firm-fixed price purchase of the following: (1) 3,880 feet of THHN 4/0 copper wire, black, 19 stranded, 600 volt; (2) 6,000 feet of THHN #3 copper wire, black, 7 stranded, 600 volt; (3) 1,000 feet of THHN #2 copper wire, green, 19 stranded, 600 volt; (4) 1,000 feet of THHN #6 copper wire, green, 19 stranded, 600 Volt; (5) thirty (30) disconnect switches, fused, 1 pole, 240 volt, weatherproof, 100 amp, with ground and neutral bar; (6) sixty (60) 100 amp fuses, 250 volt, to fit items #5; (7) three (3) disconnect switches, fused, 3 pole, 600 volt, weatherproof, 400 amp, with ground and neutral bar; (8) nine (9) 250 amp fuses, 600 volt, to fit item #7; (9) ninety (90) insulation piercing connectors, 600 volt, main side 350 MCM to 4/0, tap side 4/0 to #10 (ilsco part #IPC-350-4/0); (10) three (3) insulation piercing connectors, 600 volt, main side 4/0 to #2, tap side 2/0 to #6 (ilsco part #IPC4/0-2/0 4/0-2); and, (11) thirty (30) parallel tap connectors, 600 volt, with cover, main side 2-12, tap side 2-14 (ilsco part #ilsgta22wc). The evaluation of quotes and the determination as to the equality of the product shall be the responsibility of the Government and shall be based on information provided by the vendor. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity. All compliant quotes received by the due date will be considered by the government. All quotes must identify FOB Destination, Quantico, VA and must include shipping charges, if any, and delivery time period. Delivery will be to FBI Academy, Quantico, VA 22135. All quotes shall be submitted to FBI Academy, Hogan?s Alley, Building 15, Quantico, VA 22135, Attn: Gary Hopkins, no later than 1:00 PM, EST, 31 July 2006. Quotes will also be accepted by fax (703)632-1844 or email to ghopkin1@leo.gov. Hand Carried quotes will not be accepted. Quotes must clearly be marked with RFQ 100091. Bidders are hereby notified that if your quote is not received by the date/time and location specified in this announcement, it will not be considered. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with their offer. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-11. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Addendum to 52.212-2 (a) Award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors. Past Performance will be based on telephonic performance evaluations received from previous contracts provided in the quote. The evaluation of this RFQ will be in accordance with Parts 12, 13, and 15 of the FAR. Offerors must acquaint themselves with the new regulations concerning Commercial Item acquisition contained in FAR Subpart 12 and must ensure that all Representations and Certifications (located on the Internet) are executed and returned as required in this synopsis/solicitation.
