- The following is a presolicitation notice in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2. The Army Reserve Contracting Center (ARCC) Devens Satellite Office intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB), W912CD06B0002, for the following w ork: in strict accordance with the specifications, contractor shall provide all plant, labor, material, transportation, and supervision to provide emergency on-call repair services for the fire alarm and protection system at Devens Reserve Forces Training Area (RFTA); potential replacement of existing system with new Gamewell Corporation equipment; and annual fire alarm system maintenance, testing, and certification for approximately 49 buildings. Award shall be made to the single responsive, responsible co ntractor whose total aggregate price is low. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18, award will be subject to availability of funds. Performance period is estimated to be 12 months after date of contract. The magnitude of this project will be between $100,000 an d $250,000. The relevant codes are: Federal Supply Class (FSC) Z111, North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) 238210, and Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) 1731. This acquisition will be issued pursuant to the Business Opportunity De velopment Reform Act of 1988 and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Program. Therefore the IFB will be issued UNRESTRICTED with regard to business size standard. Bids must be valid for a period of 60 days. Companies must have a Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN) and be registered with Dun & Bradstreet (DUNS) and Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The site visit is scheduled tentatively for Tuesday 9 August 2006, 9:00 AM EST at Devens RFTA, 30 Quebec Street, Deven s, MA 01434. Contractors are strongly encouraged to attend. The closing date for the IFB will be on or about Monday 04 September 06. The date and time will be confirmed in the IFB.
