Description

The Government intends to award one fixed-price MILCON contract, subject to the availability of funds, for the rehabilitation, upgrade and expansion of the electrical system infrastructure at Al Asad Airbase, Iraq. The requirement involves the rehabi litation of the existing 33/11 KV substation and electrical distribution circuits as well as the construction of a new 33/11KV substation and electrical distribution circuits. The selected contractor will be responsible for all design, supply, installation , testing and commissioning. Additionally, force protection barriers are to be installed around the buildings. All responsible sources are invited to submit a proposal. This solicitation will be awarded on a Best Value Trade-off basis. Award is expected t o be made in the first or second week of September 2006. Offerors please take note that no logistical support will be provided by the Government for this contract. Solicitation Magnitude: Estimated between U.S. dollars $5 million and $10 million and Subject to Availability of Funds. Site Location: Al Asad Airbase,Iraq.
