Description

Construction of a Fire Station which has a base bid scope of approximately 25,500 square feet. Also included is all site work, utilities, concrete and asphalt pavements, landscaping and signage. The apparatus bays will be constructed using a struct ural steel frame and roof trusses with CMU backup walls and brick veneer. The offices and living spaces will be constructed of load-bearing metal studs, brick veneer and light gage metal roof trusses. The entire roof will be clad with composition shingle s. Also included are three options: Option 1-Extend building to include one additional Apparatus Bay and associated exterior pavements; Option 2-Extend building to include one additional Apparatus Bay and associated exterior pavements; and Option 3-Exten d building to include a two-story Storage Bay. The estimated cost range for this project is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. NAICS Code is 236220 with a size standard of $31.0 Million. Evaluation factors are Prime Contractor Construction Experience, Pas t Performance and Past Performance on Utilization of All Types of Small Businesses. Solicitation will be issued on or about 01 August 2006 and proposals are due on 06 September 2006 at 4:00 PM Louisville Local Time.
