Description

THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED AS A COMPETITVE 8(A) FOR REGION IV. THE NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE FOR THIS PROJECT IS 236220 The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, design, and other items necessary to perform Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Reimbursable Program (RP) general construction projects in FL and AL. This procurement will be advertised as a Competitive Best Value, Request for Proposal Set Aside for 8(a) firms in the area of Region IV. The evaluation criteria will be in the solicitation package. The Government contemplates award of up to six (6) Indef inite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts resulting from this solicitation which will include a base year and four one-year options. One IDIQ contract will be located at each of the following areas: Ft Rucker, AL, Anniston Army Depot, AL, Redsto ne Arsenal, AL, Hurlburt Field, FL, Tyndall AFB, FL, and MacDill AFB, FL. Firm Fixed-Price task orders will be issued against these contracts. The guaranteed minimum will be $1,000 per contract and the total maximum value ranges from $25M to $100M over t he five years. This requirement is handled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, Mobile, AL. Solicitation documents should be available for download on or about 15 Aug 2006. Wage Determination Information will be in the solicitation pack age. Proposal due date will be on or about 4 Oct 2006. Contracting Officers will be Mr. Ed Slana and Mr. Gene Curtis. All responsible 8(a) firms located in Region IV may submit an offer that shall be considered. Note No. 1: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Mobile District Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will no longer be used to post solicit ations. The new system, called Federal Technical Data system (FedTeDS) is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers mu st be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution FedTeDS FedTeDS.gov Internet Homepage. The infor mation listed below is required to register: a. Central Contractor Retistration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN). b. DUNS Number or CAGE Code. c. Telephone Number. d. E-Mail address. If you are not registered, the United States Government is not responsible for providing you with notifications of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the FedTeDS system in order to be able to download the electronic files. The solicitation will be available only as a direct download. This solicitation will not be issued on CD-ROM. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Registration should be completed one week prior to the is sue date. It is therefore the Contractors responsibility to check this web page daily for the solicitation to be posted, and for any posted changes or amendments to this solicitation. The plans and specifications and all notifications of changes to this solicitation shall only be made through this posting and modifications hereto. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Governments best interest.
