Description

SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT- DESC: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. it is the Government's intent to award a sole source to Carl Zeiss SMT Inc., One Zeiss Drive, Thornwood NY 10594 for the purchase of preventati ve maintenance and unscheduled repairs and emergency repair services in accordance with the latest manufacture specifications for the three Electron Microscopes, Zeiss. EM109, Ser#5419, ECN S2356,EM10 A, Ser#4496, ECN F0771, and EM10A, Ser# 4776, ECN K3693. This service and parts are only available from Carl Zeiss SMT Inc. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the competition would be avantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government no to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Go vernment. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the following email address no later than 4:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time, 3 August 2006.
