- The USDA Agricultural Research Service in Kodiak, AK is in need of a commercially available low temperature dryers and smoke houses for the red meat and fish. The Enviro-Pac single drying chamber (CHU-150E) with programmable controls, automatic duct washing, built in refrigerator condensing unit, an Enviro-Dri-dehumidification system, and stainless steel shelf trucks. Enviro-Pac will adapt a unit to meet our unique research needs by handling our fish by-product drying needs and can also be used as a research instrument in drying studies. We have the use of a small Enviro-Pac smoke house unit which will benefit our productivity when used in conjunction with the new unit. A solicitation is not available for this requirement the USDA intends on negotiating with Enviro-Pac the only known commercially available source and interested firms are encouraged to submit proposals to the attention of Fred Gifford as listed in this notice.
