- Description
- The Forest Service anticipates awarding a contract for invasive species control on the Bitterroot National Forest. The services will include control of noxious weeds in specified areas of the Forest (nearly half in Wilderness settings). Target noxious weeds for this contract include: spotted knapweed, rush skeletonweed, St. Johnswort, Canada thistle, oxeye daisy, sulfur cinquefoil, dyers woad, common tansy, houndstongue, black henbane, leafy spurge, Dalmatian toadflax, musk thistle and Berteroa. The most common species requiring treatment are rush skeletonweed and spotted knapweed. The contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and equipment necessary to accomplish the tasks as stated in the solicitation.
