- Acquisition Description NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE -- Contracting Office: Department of the Air Force, Air Force Material Command, Electronic Systems Center, HQ 754th Electronic Systems Group, Acquisition Directorate, 501 East Moore Drive, Room 1155, MAFB-Gunter Annex AL 36114-3000. Notice: To procure a quantity of 16 Certificate Authority Workstation (CAW) Interface Adapters (CIA). This product is NSA-approved, is manufactured by Titan Corporation, and interfaces with the CAW allowing it to interact with a wide range of Fortezza compatible devices. Intention: Award to L-3 Communications Titan Group, a large business, an Open Market Purchase Order for 16 of the above-described CAW Interface Adapters. Justification: Supplies or services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Duration: Period of performance will be one year from the date of contract award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
