- This pre-solicitation notice, for a planned acquisition, is for Grease Traps, Septic Tanks, Sand Traps, Cesspools and Oil Water Separator Services located at the USAF Academy, CO . DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The contractor shall provide all management, tools, vehicles, equipment, and labor to perform the cleaning and servicing of grease traps, septic tanks, sand traps, cesspools, and oil-water separators in a manner that will comply with commercial standards and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado. Note: There are also two septic tanks at Farish, located near Woodland Park Colorado, that require service under this requirement. The following is the approximate number of tanks and their approximate sizes: 13 grease traps ranging in size from 20 to 6000 gallons, 12 sand traps ranging in size from 500 to 6000 gallons, 18 septic tanks and cesspools ranging in size from 750 to 6000 gallons, 6 oil-water separators ranging in size from 200 to 2800 gallons. In addition, approximately 2 grease traps ranging in size from 1000 to 1250 gallons will have bacterial/enzyme applied monthly. The National Acquisition Industrial Classification Standard Code (NAICS) is 562991 and the business size standard is $6,000,000.00. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business. This acquisition will be conducted IAW FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures to procure a Firm Fixed Price, (FFP) requirements contract. It will include a base, plus four option year periods. The solicitation will be posted on or about 3 August 2006 utilizing the FedBizOpps.gov single government point-of-entry (GPE) for Federal government procurement opportunities at www.fbo.gov and solicitation documents will not be available by any other means. All responsible sources in the small business category may submit a bid which will be considered. Other categories will not be considered. Funds are not currently available for this acquisition.
